Previously, in early 2000s Skybridge’s Founder was the co-founder of a telecommunications company in South Africa with Investec Bank as major shareholders. Serving as the company’s Chief Commercial & Marketing Officer, over nearly two decades he spearheaded all marketing, advertising and sales efforts which saw the company grow exponentially into becoming one of South Africa’s largest telecommunications companies with annual revenues of ZAR 7.5 Billion (approx. £400 million), employed 1,500 staff, acquired and serviced over 4 million subscribers and distributed all prepaid and postpaid network operator products to 15,000 points of presence.
The company became an established household name and was voted South Africa’s number 1 Service Provider brand for five years in a row. The business was eventually sold in 2018, after which he stepped down and relocated to the UK where he resides permanently.
